IDentislot - Bogus Callers How We Can Help
STOP BOGUS CALLERS WITHOUT EVEN OPENING THE DOOR
The principle behind the IDentislot is to provide a safer and more secure environment for householders when dealing
with strange doorstep callers.
The door provides a person with the
best defence against potential
doorstep criminals when it is locked;
it creates the barrier that empowers the householderand makes them feel safer
and more confident when
challenging a callers' authenticity.
Unlike any other bogus caller
product the IDentislot provides a
strong visual deterrent to ALL callers
and makes the caller think twice
before knocking on the door, it does
make the caller question him or her
self:
-
Is the householder more aware
of doorstep crime?
-
Will this door be opened?
-
I might have to put my ID Card
through a locked door?
-
This might take longer than I
want it too?
-
Should I bother knocking here?
- What if they call on a neighbour?
Communities and residents with the
IDentislot fitted have remarked on
the noticeable reduction of callers to
their homes since having the
IDentislot.
Bogus callers are callous individuals who don’t care about the devastation their actions cause - DON’T LET THEM PREY ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They may pretend to be work men, women, or create an emergency situation trying to make you panic, don’t be tricked!!!!!!
If you have an IDentislot fitted to your front door - it is vital for your protection that you USE it.
IDentislot is the only bogus caller product that allows you to challenge a stranger and send them away WITHOUT EVER OPENING YOUR DOOR.
If your door remains locked a criminal CANNOT commit a bogus caller crime.
It is up to YOU - Having an IDentislot and not using it is like having a smoke alarm fitted with no battery – You increase the risk of personal loss.
IF YOU HAVE AN IDentislot or KNOW someone who has an IDentislot then follow the simple rules below to ensure you are safer:
3 GOLDEN RULES to preventing bogus caller crime
-
Make Appointments
Make sure that you only deal with strangers that have had the courtesy to make an appointment with you, no matter where they claim to be from
example; Police, Local Authority, Gas, electric or water company.
When making or confirming an appointment create a PASSWORD with the company for them to use when they knock at your door.
- Challenge ALL strangers for their ID Card: (Even if they claim that it is an emergency)
Bogus callers need to gain access a quickly as possible and don’t like drawing attention to themselves, if you keep them outside for long enough, there is a greater chance of a third party witnessing their actions at your door.
Ask ALL strangers to pass they ID Card through the IDentislot
- IF they don’t have an ID card or refuse to put it through – simply send them away!
- Don’t worry about the ID card being genuine or not (You will never know)
- All you need to look for is the name of the company on the ID card and then think - ARE YOU EXPECTING THAT COMPANY.
- If you are NOT expecting that company simply give the card back to the stranger and ask them to make an appointment.
- Ask for PASSWORD
If you are expecting the company on the ID Card ask the caller for the PASSWORD. – If the password is correct you can be more certain that they are genuine.
REMEMBER ITS YOUR HOME - ONLY LET CALLERS IN WHEN THEY CONFORM TO YOUR DOORSTEP CODE.
