PROJECT SERVICES
IDentislot CIC recognise the importance of multi
agency partnerships in delivering a truly effective
bogus caller prevention campaign through shared
knowledge, information and support. Our projects
are completed in accordance with Home Office "best
practice principles" and within a strict
code of practice and remain consistent irrespective
of location. Through strategic alliances the National
protocol can be delivered locally embracing the
needs of all stakeholders.
Each project follows the same format.
Effective use of the Barrier
It is widely accepted by key practitioners that
The main entry door is the final defensive barrier
at which the battle to prevent bogus offences
can be won or lost.
The unique, award winning IDentislot unit is
the only bogus caller device that allows an occupier
to receive check and return a strangers ID Card
without ever opening their door
Awareness Community presentations
encourage interaction and reaction directly from
the people we aim to help
Tools and equipment Equipping
homes with the basic target hardening hardware
is essential to prevent entry to visitors at the
doorstep (i.e. IDentislot, door viewers, reminder
alarms, door bars (back doors) etc).
Education / information Giving
householders the knowledge/information and desire
to employ proper doorstep skills, via Crime prevention
pack, including doorstep code, bogus caller advice
a role -play and useful telephone numbers.
Empowerment If the entry door
remains closed, the occupant has time, reassurance
and the necessary tools to effectively deal with
the strange caller. Increasing personal confidence
and assertiveness, thus reducing the fear of crime.
Active community and Post project support
Through our consistent and standardised practices
we encourage Partnerships with local agencies
and groups to support the more vulnerable in each
community, Neighbourhood Watch, Tenants &
Residents Associations, Home Care, District Nurses,
and Meals on Wheels etc.
